Rehearsals began Tuesday for the Greene County high school music department’s production of Meredith Willson’s “The Music Man,” slated for Nov. 7-9.
Senior Parker Willis will play the role of the fast-talking salesman Professor Harold Hill, with junior Victoria Sims as librarian Marian Paroo.
Other roles are junior Wyatt Funcke as Mayor Shinn, senior Annie Palmer as Eulalie Shinn, sophomore Hannah Promes as Mrs Paroo, junior Danielle Johnson as Winthrop Paroo, and junior Jacob Wittry as Marcellus Washburn.
“We’re excited to be presenting one of America’s favorite musicals, one that’s set right here in Iowa,” director Dave Heupel said. “I’m confident our students will put on a fine production. Mark your calendars now, and watch for more details.”
